Memorial Day Fail?

Memorial Day Fail
a prototype for another version of this

I attempted to create a Memorial Day masterpiece but ended up with something slightly off. The US flag is actually harder to paint than I realized, and in my desire to not have any pencil lines, I taped off the white areas so I could add the red stripes. Well, the tape was not quite narrow enough, and I ended up with 11 stripes instead of 13, since the blue part was already done and the paper was pre-cut: oops. No disrespect to the flag or fallen soldiers, but I will probably re-make this with the proper striping and star alignment next year. I am pleased with the look otherwise. Better luck next time to me, and Happy Memorial Day.

Materials: water color paper, water, watercolors, tape, gel pens, paintbrush
