Watercolor Outer Space Card

Outer Space Card

Watercolors are great for so many reasons; one of them being they blend together quite easily. The epicenter of this space card is a multi-colored planet, created by dropping in red, orange and green paint onto a circle of water that was laid before placing the colors. Lines and curves of similar colors create the background, and saturated black watercolor is used on the sentiment and space ship. Watercolors can be as opaque as needed, based on how much water is mixed in with the color.

Materials: cardstock, watercolor paper, watercolors, paintbrush, water, towel, metallic marker for embellishment
