Party Photo and Frame

Party photo
Layered paper and sequins make a festive, custom frame.

A fun way to honor someone who is celebrating a milestone birthday is to display a flattering picture of him/her for party goers to see. Copy the photo to preserve the original, and adhere the copy to a custom, handmade frame that matches the other decor.

For my grandma’s orange, red and brown autumn-themed ninetieth birthday party photo, I cut a piece of red cardstock slightly larger than the picture and cut a white piece of cardstock slightly larger than the red one. Then I glued all three layers together and decorated two opposing corners with some orange sequins I had from years ago.

When the party is over, give this keepsake to the guest of honor.

Materials: Copied photo, cardstock, sequins, scissors/paper cutter, hot glue/ hot glue gun, gluestick, pencil, ruler
